Mike Sanders
Founder/MD
I’m Mike Sanders, founder of Motorhome and Campervan Newbies.
After many years of enjoying motorhome life myself, I created this community to help others get started with confidence. I know how confusing it can feel at the beginning — from choosing the right van and understanding the kit, to planning trips, using campsites and dealing with the little challenges along the way.
My aim is to make motorhoming and campervanning feel less daunting, more enjoyable, and a lot more accessible for everyone starting out.
Doug Hopkins
Founder/Director
I’m Doug Hopkins, founder of Motorhome and Campervan Newbies.
I’m here to help support people who are new to motorhoming and campervanning, sharing practical advice, friendly guidance and real-world experience wherever I can. We all remember what it was like starting out, so my aim is to help make those first steps easier, less confusing and much more enjoyable.
Whether you are choosing your first van, planning your first trip or simply trying to understand how everything works, I’m always happy to help where I can.

I’m here to help keep things friendly, fun and welcoming for everyone finding their way into motorhome and campervan life. Whether you’re planning your first trip, trying to work out what all the buttons do, or wondering why you packed everything except the one thing you actually needed, you’re in the right place.
I love seeing people grow in confidence, share their adventures and enjoy the freedom of life on the road.
There are no silly questions here — just friendly advice, shared laughs and plenty of “we’ve all done that” moments.
